MARY ELIZABETH GODDARD It is with much sadness that the Goddard family announces the death of their wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Mary Goddard on March 8, 2014, at the age of 90. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Les, son Clint (Janet), and daughter Jane - all of Winnipeg, son Michael (Doris) of Mission, B.C., and daughter-in-law Lynda of Revelstoke, B.C. Greatly missed by grandchildren: Michael (Rachel) of Calgary, Molly (Revelstoke), Sarah and Hannah (Winnipeg), her step-grandchildren Kevin and Karen, and great-grandchildren Dylan and Daina (all of Mission, B.C.). Mary is survived by her brother Norman (Teresa) McDonald. Her son Bruce, and her sisters Margaret and Shirley predeceased Mary. Mary grew up in the West End, attended both St. Edward school and church where she played the organ and piano. She attended Daniel McIntyre School, and Angus Business College. Upon graduation Mary worked at General Motors until her marriage to Les on June 19, 1948. Shortly after they moved to Riverwood Avenue, raised their family, and remained there until 2013. Mary had a real sense of style and took pride in her home decorating it beautifully for the enjoyment of family and friends. Her "collections" were greatly admired and are now cherished by her family. The family is very grateful for the tender and professional care extended to Mary by the Special Needs Unit of Golden Links Lodge. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My condolences for the loss of Mary. I always enjoyed her so much and last saw her when I took my mom Eileen to see her on Riverwood around 2007. Les had just painted the stairs so we visited on the main floor. My mom had great regard for Mary's sense of style and even she admired everything on that day. Mary was a lovely lady and I always enjoyed my conversations with her when she and Les would visit my parents. They were life long friends through CFM. Rest in Peace Mary. - Posted by: Mari Bonner (nee) Hughes (family friend) on: Mar 12, 2014
