ROSE GORDON August 13, 1922 - Belgrade, Yugoslavia March 9, 2014 - Calgary, Alberta Rose Gordon of Calgary passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the age of 91 years. Rose was born August 13, 1922 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. She came to Canada at age 10 and grew up in Toronto. In 1953, she married Dave Gordon and they were married for 55 years until he predeceased her in 2008. They lived for 42 years in Winnipeg until she moved to Calgary in 2008. Rose was a long-time member of the Presbyterian church and an accomplished soprano. She gave many performances, singing at weddings and with the church choir. She loved to fly with Dave in his airplane. Rose travelled extensively throughout Canada and the U.S. and spent many happy hours at the St. Andrews Airport with her friends. Rose is survived by her daughter Diane; son-in-law Tom; sister-in-law Margaret, and many close friends.
