  • Looking for David Chornomud I got a letter today from you. Written almost 20 years ago. Just trying to get a phone number or email. My email is ctanderson@sasktel.net - Posted by: Tekena Anderson (Second vosin) on: Aug 19, 2019

  • My dearest sister. How I miss you. I go to phone you every day with news that I know I can share with you because you know them too. I can still hear you on the phone always sounding surprised that I am answering it in person, "Oh, Hi Chick it's Bea". How beautiful those words always sounded. When Karen, your godchild and niece, got married at the end of July 2014 you were there in spirit. I had your blue handbag and Shelly's cane. You would have really enjoyed it. We love you beyond words my baby sister. I will see you on the other side one day. With love, hugs and kisses, Leslie and Chick Nelson. - Posted by: Darlene Nelson (Sister) on: Oct 30, 2014

  • I met Marlene in 1987. How can someone not become instant friends with Marlene? Marlene was so open and honest. Her loving-kindness spilled out to all around her. She was encouraging and free with her hugs. Marlene had an attitude of gratitude. She tried to help me see the good in my situation. She would always hold the door open for me and help me to the path to serenity. If I wasn't ready to follow the path, she waited until I was willing. Then she'd be there for me. Marlene has been my inspiration in life. Whenever I come across a problem that seems overwhelming, I ask myself, "What would Marlene do?" or "What would Marlene say?" Marlene has also led by example. She met the challenges in her life with dignity and determination. She decided that nothing would hinder her serenity. She worked hard to maintain it - even against overwhelming odds. When Michael died in 2000, I met with her. Of course she was very sad. I hesitated, but I told her I was pregnant. She told me that the news made her feel relief. She was assured that the cycle of life was alive and well. What a lady! When her time came, Marlene left this world with grace and serenity. She didn't want to die, but she accepted it. I will always think of Marlene when I say the serenity prayer. God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, and The wisdom to know the difference. The world has lost a great person. But her legacy will live on... in people like me, and in all the lives she touched. The world is a better place because of Marlene. I know I will continue to carry her message of hope, and I encourage you all to honour her by doing the same. I will miss you dearly, my friend. - Posted by: Joanne Marks (Friend) on: Mar 17, 2014
