Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERNA ANN (SHIMONEK) DOCKX November 20, 1936 - March 4, 2014 It is with deep sadness we announce Verna's sudden passing at her Victoria, BC home. Verna is survived by her husband Charles Dockx, mother Hilda Shimonek, brothers Art (Gladys) Shimonek, Ken Shimonek. sisters Ida (Gordon) Schwab, Adeline (Bill) Anderson, Gladys Rempel, Clare Makarchuk, and many nieces and nephews. Verna was predeceased by her father Henry Shimonek, brother Bernie Shimonek, sisters-in law Erika Shimonek, Jeannette Shimonek, brothers-in-law John Makarchuk and John Rempel. A private family gathering was held in Victoria, BC. Cremation has taken place. If Verna were to sum up her life in one small phrase it would be, I Love My Family. We love you too Verna. God Bless

My condolences to the family. Many years ago Charles worked at the Federal Translation Bureau in Winnipeg and so did I - we parted ways when he and Verna left Manitoba.
