Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • On behalf of my sister and myself we were sorry to hear of Aunt Agnes passing. She truly was a kind person and that's probably why she was such a good mate for Uncle Abe. The thing both of us remember was her and Uncle Abe standing in Uncle Pete and Auntie Nettie's family room and watching Uncle Abe slowly chewing some cashews finally after a couple of minutes Aunt Agnes said "Abram you aren't making peanut butter". We nearly fell over laughing. I am glad that my mom Mary encouraged them to get together. We are richer knowing her. - Posted by: Wendy Kowal (nee Sutherland) (Auntie Nettie's niece) on: Mar 19, 2014

  • Aganeta was a remarkable woman who lived life to the fullest. She would come out on those cold winter days and watch her great-grand children's Christmas Concerts with so much joy. Robb said she was still active and swam in the nearby pool for exercise in her 90s. I'm very sure her stories of the history she lived would be wonderful! She always had a sparkle in her eyes and had such a gentle spirit about her. I know Robb & Sam will miss having lunch with her. May great Oma's memories live in you and your heart. God bless and comfort you all, Marge & Darwin - Posted by: Marge and Darwin Knutson (Friends of Robb & Lynn) on: Mar 18, 2014

  • Though I never met Veralyn's beloved Oma, she has spoken to me of her often and I can just imagine Veralyn sitting beside her, listening intently to all the stories of her youth. Veralyn is like that...all ears and smiles. I think you two were as two peas in a pod. Celebrate the time you had with her; she gave you much. • My condolences go out to you and your family. I very much enjoyed meeting your grandmother in her home when you and I had a chance to visit. She was a very sweet and soft spoken person. I would have loved to have heard some of her life experiences. - Posted by: Glen (Friend to Veralyn) on: Mar 15, 2014
