Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Aunt Popsie (Usrula) was a very special person to me and many others. Her greatest joy in life seemed to come from giving to others and making others happy. She would still send birthday cards even when she could hardly write or hold a pen. Some of my fondest memories are of her coming to visit my family when my brother and I were young. She will certainly be remembered for her cooking and her knitting. She never had any children of her own but she was still a mother and grandmother to many. I hope she was aware of the difference she made in my life and in the lives of many others. - Posted by: Lars-Erik Brown (Great-nephew) on: Mar 31, 2014

  • Popsie was a very kind and generous person in my life. I always felt very loved in her presence and very fortunate to be around her. Popsie was more like a grandmother to me, my brother and my cousins than an aunt. She never forgot a birthday, always sending a card or treats in the mail. Even with arthritic hands, when she could barely knit, she thought of my daughter and made a baby blanket. Nobody could outshine Popsie - a jewel of a lady. - Posted by: Roger Brown (Great nephew) on: Mar 23, 2014

  • Ursula, was a serious yet pleasant neighbour, I was fortunate to get to know her, along with her sister Elizabeth and her brother-in-law Rolf. Sadly I lost contact with Ursula, the last few years. I shall not forget her. My sympathy to the family. Lloyd Porcher. - Posted by: lloyd porcher (former neighbour and frind) on: Mar 21, 2014

  • She was like a mother to me, radiating pure love, compassion and generosity; expecting nothing in return. A great lady! - Posted by: Ursula Brown (Niece) on: Mar 19, 2014
