SIGRIDUR ARNDIS (ANDY) STEELE November 5, 1931 - March 17, 2014 Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, Andy completed her journey at St. Boniface General Hospital in the evening of March 17, 2014. Left behind are her daughter Beatrice, grandchildren Roberta and Alec, and great-grandchildren Georgia, Chloe, Luc and Charlotte. Born and raised in Lundar, Andy's mom, dad and brother Arnold went before her. She embraced her Icelandic heritage. Her ashes will be returning to Lundar to make the circle complete. Andy was always proud of her involvement with, and her many friends at the Royal Canadian Legion. She was a long standing member of the Ladies Auxiliary and had served many terms as President. Thanks to all of her friends who gathered in her final weeks to show support and love. Our thanks go to the very caring and professional staff with the Palliative Care Department, both the home care personnel and the staff at the Palliative Care Unit of St. Boniface Hospital. Andy stressed her wish that there be no formal funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 22 at the Winnipeg South Osborne Legion, 426 Osborne Street from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface General Hospital. Goda Nott Mom
