Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Today is my father, Bertie Robertson's birthday. Donald and Dad were mates growing up in Kinlochleven and kept that relationship alive across the years and the miles that separated them. Dad would often tell of their exploits and it would bring a smile to his face. Somehow whilst searching the net about Dad, I came across the sad news of Donald's passing. Despite it being a fact of life, it still hurts to see the demise of characters that shaped that little village in which I grew up. Hopefully they will all be reunited in a happy place. - Posted by: Craig Robertson (Son of Donald's friend ) on: Oct 31, 2018

  • We were neighbors of the Morrisons in Highcastle Manor in Calgary for a few years, and got to know Ann, and Don. They are such a sweet couple, and we love them dearly. So sad to hear of Don's passing. R.I.P Don, God bless you Ann. - Posted by: Murray family (Friends in Highcastle manor) on: Jan 22, 2015

  • Thinking of you Anne and of all the happy memories, - Posted by: Rene Findlay (Friend) on: Mar 22, 2014

  • It was with sorrow that I read Don's obituary in this morning's Free Press. I recall vividly Don Morrisson sitting on the sidelines waiting for George to finish pipeband practice and "wee John" running around with his flaming red hair (circa 1970). My Dad also used to meet up with Don and George McDonald at the HSC, have lunch occasionally, and no doubt share a laugh or two together. My heart goes out to your family at this sad time and I have no doubt you will all take good care of one another. My deepest sympathy to you all! - Posted by: Joyce Hooper (Former Transcona Pipe Band Member with George.) on: Mar 21, 2014
