JAMES (JIM) ROBERT CRUISE 1950 - 2014 It is with great sadness we announce Jim's passing on March 18, 2014 at the Grace Hospital with his wife at his side, at 63 years of age. Jim will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his soul-mate Sharon, daughter Angela Bartley and son-in-law Wayne. Left to cherish Jim's memory are his brothers Jack (Karen), and Alan, his sisters Heather (Brian) and Marg, his grandchildren Taylor, Austin and Brandon, and his great-grandchild Scarlett Jayde, his mother-in-law Betty, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jim was predeceased by his mother Vivien Cruise. Jim had been with Access Credit Union for 15 years in various capacities, most recently as Acting Branch Manager, for the Oak Bluff branch. Previously he was with RBC as Branch Manager, mostly in rural settings, living in Erickson, Virden, Boissevain, Snow Lake, Stonewall, and Winnipeg. Outside of his banking career Jim had a passion for volunteer opportunities within community roles; Kinsmen Club, Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, and many curling and golf clubs. He made friends easily and always had a joke at the ready. We would like to offer special thanks to Dr. John Rabson and Dr. Wei Li for their care, support and compassion. In lieu of flowers, Jim's wish is for donations to be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society. To my loving husband, remember to stop at The Rainbow Bridge on your way, have a safe journey my love! Honorary pallbearers, Bob Hamaberg and Harold Froese. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Neil Bardal Funeral Home, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg. It was always a pleasure dealing with Jim at the Credit union. He helped me a few times over the years and we shared alot of jokes and good stories. He truly cared for his customers and treated them as friends. I will miss you Jim and will plant a tree in your honor at the baseball complex this spring. - Posted by: Brian Hendrickson (friend / credit union pal) on: Mar 25, 2014
