LYNNE MARIE WILLCOCK (nee KIRKPATRICK) October 8, 1954 - March 22, 2014 On March 22, surrounded by her loving family, Lynne passed away peacefully in the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care unit after a two year battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Ashley (Kurt Reinfort) and Evan (Meredith); her beautiful granddaughter Dia Lynne; brothers and sisters Ron, Maureen (Dave), Gary (Mary), Bob (Georgie), Colleen (Peter), David (Karen), Randy (Kathy); numerous nieces and nephews, John Willcock (Ginny), Elizabeth Willcock (Nana) and her entire extended Willcock family. Lynne was predeceased by her parents John (Jack) and Alice Kirkpatrick. Lynne's primary focus in life was her family, whom she loved deeply. She also cherished the time spent with numerous friends, many of whom she had since grade school. She greatly enjoyed her work at CTV, and her marvelous colleagues. Lynne was a truly extraordinary soul. She was a fierce and devoted mother to Ashley and Evan; as well as a caring and supportive friend and confidant. She had a boundless ability to forgive, to laugh, and to always find the positive in every situation. To be in her orbit was truly amazing. Her strength, courage and tenacity never wavered when dealing with this illness. The family would like to thank the medical teams at the Grace Hospital and CancerCare Manitoba, and especially friend Lynn Ohlson, who was by her side every step of her cancer journey. A Celebration of Lynne's life will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 255 Stafford Street. True to Lynne's spirit of fun, she has requested everyone wear something pink. Private interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynne's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. "Stop it... I'm fine!" Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044

Lynn was my husband Allan's first cousin. I will always be grateful for that familial connection, as I was blessed with having Lynn as my cousin also and having her in my life. I will miss her love, laughter, jokes, positive outlook in all of life's events, challenging or otherwise, not to mention her style and class. I send my deepest sympathy to Ashley and Kurt, Evan and Merideth and Dia -- I know your loss is tremendous and I wish that memories bring you comfort today and always. The world would be a better place if there were more people like Lynne. She was strong and sweet and caring and generous. She adored her family and loved her friends. Seeing her walk the runway at the Breast Cancer Fundraiser was truly inspirational. What a smile, what a love of life! She was special and we'll all miss her terribly at our WTN reunions. - Posted by: Susan Millican (Colleague) on: Mar 27, 2014

We could all learn a lot from Lynne. Her strength, her attitude, her perseverance and bravery through one of life's biggest challenges - a serious health issue. She did not dwell on the challenges. Instead she focused on the positives in her life, her family, friends, her granddaughter, her many activities such as getting together for lunches, dinners, events, family get togethers and trips to the States. You will be missed very much Lynne by your co-workers and former colleagues. You were the heart of our team and truly made everyone feel special. Your caring attitude made everyone feel like an instant friend. We will miss you greatly and will always remember your smile, laughter and sense of humour. It's hard to imagine our world without you in it. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Evan, Ashley, Dia as well as extended family. Your loss is so much greater than ours but it is important to let you know how many lives Lynne touched and how important she was to so many. I imagine Lynne in heaven watching down on everyone with a smile, laughter and love. It was a pleasure to know you Lynne Marie Willcock. You will be in our hearts forever. - Posted by: Diane K (Colleague) on: Mar 26, 2014

I'm so sad to hear Lynn lost her battle with cancer. Even though we worked on different floors I had the chance to get to know her because she would often visit the newsroom and visit. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Caroline Barghout (Former Colleague ) on: Mar 24, 2014
