Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES (CHUCK) ARTHUR EDWARDS We mourn the passing of Charles, husband, father, grandfather, friend, on March 20, 2014 at the age of 91 years, at the St. Pierre Repos carehome. Chuck was loved and will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Henrietta (Nonie) and his children Sandy (Yvette) Wallace, Les (Mona) Wallace, Myra (Bryan) Kehler, Mina (Mitchell Sain) Wallace, Charlie (Lorraine) Edwards and Bonnie (Rob) Lapka. He was greatly entertained by his 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Chuck was predeceased by his mom Edith, dad Charles, sister Frances Askin and brother Barry Edwards. Chuck was born on February 11, 1923 in Otterburne, Manitoba and grew up on a farm in Otterburne West. Chuck married Nonie Wallace on April 5, 1961 and raised six children together. Chuck and Nonie operated a mixed farm. Chuck's interests included curling, horseshoes, baseball, hunting, cards, fishing, camping, coaching and watching hockey. We would like to thank the staff of the St. Pierre Jolys Repos care home who ensured Chuck's comfort right to the end and thank you to the Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach for their services. A gathering to celebrate Chuck's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Niverville United Church, 55 1st Street North, Niverville, with a reception to follow at the Golden Friendship Centre, 118 2nd Avenue South, Niverville. Interment will take place at a later date at a closed family event.

I am so sorry to be seeing this notice only just now, Bonnie. I remember your Dad as always smiling and teasing. He had a wonderful disposition and I know he lived a long and happy life.
