ANNA J. KSZYWIECKI (nee POPOWICH) April 1, 1938 - March 23, 2014 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Anna Kszywiecki on March 23, 2014. Anna leaves to mourn her passing, her husband of 56 years, Edward, her son Frank (Shelly), daughter Lori, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sisters, Bertha, Lorna and Emily, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant son, Tommy Allen, daughter Kerri, son-in-law Richard Starkell, her mother and father, Joseph and Pauline Popowich and her four brothers. Anna was an avid sports fan, and in her youth she played baseball for the Tigerettes. She enjoyed watching tennis and curling. Anna worked for the Federal Government and she was one of the first female air traffic controller assistants in Canada. Anna will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. Cremation will take place and in accordance with Anna's wishes a private family service will be held. We would like to thank the paramedics for their kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of your choice. "For what is it to die, but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun? And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?"
