EDWARD (ED) PAUL RITCHOT Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, Edward Paul Ritchot passed away at the Victoria Hospital with his family by his side on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the age of 74 years. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Courtney, Taylor, Tyson, Brandon, Riann, Kristen, Jenna, Bailie and Brett; brother Bill (Honey); sister (Emily), and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents William and Edith, and brother Fred. On May 18, 1939 Ed was born in Winnipeg where he lived his entire life. He loved working on vehicles, especially his 1954 Chevy. Friends and neighbours would often drop by for Dad to check their vehicles out and get him to do the odd repair. Ed also loved driving trucks. He put on lots of miles throughout Canada and the United States. His pride and joy came later in life when he was working with his family at Sturgeon Construction. Dad loved going to the shop early in the mornings and opening up and getting everything ready. He was a very proud man and took pride in everything he did. Ed will be greatly missed by family and friends. At Ed's request, no Funeral Service will be held. A private family interment will take place. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Victoria Hospital for all their assistance. Dad As I sit here at the office and stare at your empty chair, you will never know how much I wish you were still sitting there. During the day I have been strong and I try so hard to show that nothing is wrong But at night my tears do flow, it was just so awful that you had to go. People keep asking if I’m okay, the answer is no but it is yes I say. You still had so much to live for and so much still to do (finish my lake) it seemed impossible that he would take you. And although you have walked through those pearly gates please remember we will always love you. Your daughter - Posted by: Ellen Friesen (Daughter) on: Apr 02, 2014

Sorry for your loss, your family is in my thoughts. He's not suffering anymore. He's now free to do in heaven what he wasn't able to do here on earth. Lots of love to your family. xoxox - Posted by: Jayme-Lyn Chuckry (A Friend Of Courtney's ) on: Mar 26, 2014
