I was lucky to have Mr. Campbell as my hockey and baseball coach while I was growing up in the same grade as Vern. I only grew brave enough to call your Dad Ivan when I was finally grown up. One of my enduring memories of your Dad, is from hockey, if we had the puck in the oppositions end I can to this day still hear Ivan shouting "SHOOT, SHOOT"!!! This was quite often directed at Vern and Richard, but the rest of us on the team were also subjected to his hockey philosophy of shoot the puck. Your Dad was always there too coach us kids and I only now realize the time and effort he put into the job. Richard, Vern, Heather, Noreen and Murray, he will be missed, my thoughts go out to you and your families. - Posted by: Darryll Dicks (Friend) on: Mar 29, 2014
