JOHN MINSKI It is with great sadness that on March 28, 2014, at St. Boniface Hospital, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and gigi, John Minski at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Theresa; children: John Jr. (Kelly), Robert (Tracy), Lorrie (Darren), and Loretta; grandchildren: Kristyn, Bailey, Tanner, Brady, Jaden, Piper, and Brooke; sister Pauline (Roy), and brothers: William (Sally), Paul (Maria), and James (Virginia). John was born in Steinbach, Manitoba, grew up in the Pansy area and later moved to Winnipeg where they raised their family. He owned and operated a successful business, John Minski Sons Ltd. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He spent countless hours enjoying the outdoors with his family at his cabin and farm. "Dad, we love you. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers...until we meet again." The family would like to thank Doctors Harris and Bialy for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach, Manitoba. Viewing will be held at the chapel prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial donation to CancerCare Manitoba or Manitoba Wildlife Federation. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-204-346-1030 OR 1-888-454-1030

John & Kelly, Rob & Tracy, We are truly saddened by the loss of your father. He was one of the strongest, kindest, most generous men we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was always willing to offer a place of storage for whatever our last endeavour was. Paul and Tyler's hunting experiences with him will never be forgotten and the stories they shared will be told for years to come. Take pride in knowing that your father raised two of the most kindest, loving, generous men that we know. We cherish your friendships, John & Kelly, Rob & Tracy, you as well as your families are in our thoughts and prayers. In friendship, Always P & H. - Posted by: Paul & Heather Prydun (Friends) on: Apr 02, 2014
