Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARLENE (HONEY) INGIMUNDSON After a courageous battle, it is with deep sorrow that her family announces the peaceful passing of Arlene (Honey) Ingimundson on March 27, 2014 at the age of 72 in the Health Science Centre. Honey's passing will be mourned by her children, Marc, Jason (Christina), Cara; and her grandchildren, Benjamin, Elaina, Riley and Evyn. Honey is also survived by her mother-in-law, Eunice; sisters-in-law, Janice Ingimundson, Dianne (Adam) Rusak; nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be sadly missed. Honey is predeceased by her father, Benjamin (Benny) Rayter in 1979, her brother Leonard (Leible) Rayter in 1980, her mother Esther (Etta) Rayter in 2001 and her husband of 32 years David Ingimundson in 1999. Honey was born on January 19, 1942, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She grew up off Selkirk Avenue with her many uncles, aunts and cousins. Honey enjoyed spending her summers at the family cottage in Winnipeg Beach, where she met her husband, despite having lived a block away from him in Winnipeg. She was devoted to her family and their interests as she enjoyed watching her children grow. She spent a great deal of time in arenas watching her two sons play hockey and her daughter play ringette. She was involved in the community, most notably operating the West Kildonan canteen. In her later years she worked at Walmart as a greeter where she would enjoy chatting with friends, family and even strangers who came in to shop. Honey's family and friends will miss the scarves and dish clothes she routinely knitted for them. Our family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the staff at the Health Science Centre for all their care and kindness. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Congregation Etz Chayim, 123 Matheson, Winnipeg, MB R2W 0C3. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arlene's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 9Z9.
