NOEL PAUL LATER Noel died peacefully at home on March 21, 2014. His parents, Cam and Leslie and brothers Jeff, Andrew and Steven are heartbroken. He struggled so hard to stay with us and is now at rest. Remember his love, his twinkle, his loyalty and his wit and he will never be far away. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Bergen Heart Centre at St. Boniface General Hospital or the Manitoba Juvenile Diabetes Association. Thank you to our extended family and his many friends who have offered so many kind words and fond remembrances.

Leslie, Cam and Brothers - I am so very sorry to hear about Noel. Noel was a very good friend growing up, I only wish I had the opportunity to know him in his later years of life. I can remember as clear as day riding bikes, crab apple fights and Star Wars action time in Section F and the 1st park. Noel looked out for me being a little guy then, and I will always remember that and those times when I think of him. Down to earth and always being who he was...what a great friend he was to me. My greatest condolences can't express how sorry I am for your loss. Jamie Thompson - Posted by: Jamie Thompson (Friend) on: Apr 01, 2014

An old friend from high school, this saddens me to read! Noel (Biff) made everyone laugh, always had a smile on his face. As years pass we all grow apart however we don't forget those that seem to make an impact! May you rest in peace!! - Posted by: Mike Rodrigues (Friend) on: Apr 01, 2014

Leslie and Cam - I'm so sorry to hear about Noel's passing. The last time I saw Noel was the summer I babysat him, Jeff, and Andrew (before Steven was even born). I remember what a smart, sweet boy Noel was and how he looked out for his younger brothers. My condolences to you all. -Carol Sanders - Posted by: Carol Sanders (former babysitter and friend of the family) on: Mar 31, 2014

Noel was so much fun. I remember hours upon hours spent with him at the Wildewood Club. He was absolutely hilarious and everything was more fun if he was around. He was also a very good person. He was often the oldest kid in the pack and always looked out for us younger ones - you could tell he was an oldest child. It is tragic how life can turn but my memories of Noel will always be the fun, generous leader who thought about everyone and made every moment better. - Posted by: Joseph Langan (friend) on: Mar 31, 2014

Leslie and Cam My sadness is only a small portion of that being collectively felt for you and for Noel. Selfishly there is some comfort for me in being able to tell you that I indeed have many good memories of Noel....the bits I saw of him as a little boy and then of his partnership with Josh. I think of him when I see my back fence. I dropped in to our old location on Clarence and thought of him then...seeing the excellent and sizeable drywalling job. Although I got only a few glimpses of his working days with Josh, I knew that they were kindred spirits. I think they shared great wit. I still have the knife in my tool box that they used for cutting sod. They were amused by its apparent age (World War 1 vintage) and Noel aptly dubbed it the "Crout killer" , later to be shortened to "Crouty". Very politically incorrect and irreverent, other traits they shared and I admire. I can't imagine how tough the last few years were for him and you to endure. The only consolation is that peace has arrived for him. Noel will have a place in my memories and our hearts. - Posted by: Scott Struthers (Friend) on: Mar 29, 2014
