MARY KOHUCH August 17, 1930 - March 31, 2012 In memory of Mary, devoted wife, wonderful Mom and Baba, loving sister, aunt, and caring friend. Two years ago, on March 31, 2012, we lost our living example of the serenity prayer. Mom was someone who accepted the things she could not change, had the courage to change the things she could change, and had wisdom to know the difference. Her whole life was devoted to others and, in particular, her husband and family. We think that if we looked up the definition of "loving" in a dictionary, Mom's attributes would match perfectly. We hope that, in the end, she was able to appreciate the devotion given back to her through her faithful husband, her "Lover Boy", Nick, her children, relatives, and good friends. The "Circle of Life" became very real to all of us as we took up new care-giving roles, taught to us by Mom herself, the ultimate care-giver. What more important lesson can be learned than how to love? Thank you, Mom, for showing us through your compassionate, thoughtful and tireless acts of service, what it means to love. In many ways, you had a hard life, living through the depression, suffering many losses, and learning lessons no one wants to learn about the curve balls life can toss our way. But, what better legacy to leave than an indelible impression on the hearts of so many who received your love and who loved you all the more in return? You were one in a million and we know we won the lottery when we got you. You are missed and always will be. See you later, alligator. Vichnaya Pamyat.
