Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I was so saddened to read about her passing in the paper. She will be sorely missed. I will never forget her kindness. I think of the memories of St. Giles Church, Beth helping us at church, and the weekend French toast that Mrs. Leeder would serve to Janice, myself, and my sisters as we played in her house. She was always so kind. Some of the best memories of my childhood are when they graciously loaned my family the use of their cabin at Grand Beach. I can close my eyes and I can see the details in the bunks, the linoleum on the floor, and the spooky nighttime trail to the outhouse (complete with spiders outlined by the flashlights!). She will never know how much that meant to us. As we grew up and became adults, her enduring friendship, to all members of our family, was much cherished. Rest in peace and prayers to the family. - Posted by: Gail MacAulay, Kevin Rollason, Sarah and Mary Rollason-MacAulay (Friend of family) on: Apr 13, 2014

  • Bertha was an amazing lady always there for me as a kid and young adult when help was needed. She'll be missed dearly and always remembered. - Posted by: Christa Strong (family friend) on: Apr 08, 2014

  • She was a beautiful person and my family and I have many fond memories at the cottage at Grand Marias. It has been many years since we have seen each other but she will be remembered well and with much love. Sharyn (Holberg) Newnham - Posted by: Sharyn Holberg Newnham (Friend ) on: Apr 07, 2014
