Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEATRICE JEAN (BEA) FERGUSON (nee MCRAE) Peacefully, on Thursday, April 3, 2014, Bea Ferguson passed away at the Portage District General Hospital, at the age of 83 years. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law Gwen (Daryl); two granddaughters, Tara (Calvin) and Stacey (Mark); four great-grandchildren, Natalie and Kobe, Cash and Willow; sister Bernice Tashiro; several nieces and nephews and other extended family. Bea was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Annie McRae; beloved husband George Ferguson; and her much loved sons, Brian and Brock. A time of visitation and viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of Bea's life will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Bea's memory to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 17 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1T8 or to Central Plains Cancer Care Services, 318 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8. We lost a fabulous Canadian. Please extend condolences from all of the Shindlemans to your family. We have the fondest of memories of George and Bea at events or just at the store.
