KENNETH (KEN) ERIC ALLEN July 15, 1964 Winnipeg, MB March 30, 2014 Calgary, AB It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth "Ken" Eric Allen beloved husband of Allison of Calgary, at the age of 49 years. Ken was a professional pilot for Air Canada and a devoted father and husband. He was very active in downhill skiing, water skiing, running, biking, hiking, power lifting and of course motocross racing. Ken was also very talented with woodworking, mechanics and home renovations. Ken could do anything he set his mind to and had a determined personality. Ken lived his life to the fullest until his tragic motocross accident in June, 2012. He endeavored through rehabilitation to recover from severe traumatic brain injury; however, he could not win that losing battle. Besides his loving wife Allison, Kenneth is survived by children Jeff and Sabrina; sisters Donna Mulholland (Doug), Betty Penner (Larry) and sister Wendy Kon (Chris); brother Bill Allen (Barb) and many nieces and nephews; and all fellow brothers of Air Canada Pilots. Ken was predeceased by his mother and father Ida and Eric Allen. Ken will be sorely missed by his cherished family and many close knit friends. A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.   • My deepest sympathy to Ken's family. It was a privilege to have known him, not only as a patient but as a friend. His hospital room frequently had visitors, a testament to what a special person he was, and the high esteem to which he was held. His eyes lit up each and every time he spoke of Allison, Jeff and Sabrina.
