LILLIAN AGNES LAWSON February 17, 1927 - April 2, 2014 Lillian was a ray of sunshine, a delight to all. She had a magical way of making everyone's day brighter and was ready to share a smile, story, or a laugh. Lillian was the middle child of Bill and Chrys Lawson, sister to Bill Jr. and Ken. She attended Glenwood School in Elmwood and lived most of her life in East Kildonan. Over the years, Lil enjoyed bowling and activities with the Sons of Scotland, gatherings with family and friends and a career - retiring in 1991. She traveled to British Columbia, USA, Riding Mountain and Scotland to visit with relatives and accompanied the Heather Bell pipe band from Winnipeg. Known as Auntie Lil to many, she will be missed by her cousin, nieces, nephews, and friends: Sheila (Roger, Michael, Dallas); Janet (Nicholas, Katie, Kara); Ken and Susan (Christian, Megan, Katie); Rob and Deb (Sheri, Angie); Bill and Cheryl (Brenna, Kade, Carlee); Michael and Deb (Mike Jr., Kristi, Stef); Colleen and Jim (Bailey, Megan); Earlyne and Jim (Alex), and best friend Ethel (Kathie, Kelly, Kris, Elaine). They have wonderful memories of lunches, movies, games, KFC, dippy eggs, Yorkshire puddings, scones, bus and train trips. Lillian was fortunate to enjoy the companionship of lifelong friends and new friends met during her final years at Seine River. Family and friends are invited to join a celebration of Lillian's life on Friday, April 11, from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. at Seine River Retirement Residence, 1015 St. Anne's Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. "That's just lovely my dear" She will truly be missed. BYE FOR NOW!
