PATRICIA MARIE LEONARD (nee ENNIS) Pat Leonard, daughter of John and Dreda Ennis, passed away in Calgary on March 28, 2014, just after her 74th birthday. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her son Drew Howard of Victoria; her daughter Shannon Ott (Allan) of Winnipeg and their children Jared and Morgan Ott; her brother David Ennis (Melita) of Winnipeg; brother Gerald Ennis (Patti) of Calgary; sister Frances Ennis (Sue) of Winnipeg; brother Fred Ennis (Jean) of Courtenay, BC, and by her nieces and nephews, two aunts and several cousins. Pat was born in Ste Rose du Lac, MB, grew up in McCreary, MB and went on to live in British Columbia, but primarily and latterly in Calgary. She was a survivor who overcame adversity. For an extended period in her later years her life was compromised by health issues that included severely impaired vision. Nevertheless she maintained her much-desired independence with selfless support from her brother Gerald. She will be remembered for the strength of her will and firmness of opinion which were tempered with her cheerfulness and outreach to others. In keeping with those attributes, after a stroke damaged her vision, she volunteered extensively at a Calgary brain injury group helping others. Cremation has taken place.
