VICTOR ALBINO RAPOSO Victor passed away April 6, 2014 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 51 years. He leaves behind his mother Maria Armanda Raposo; sisters Goretti (Victor) and Lucy (Robert); brother John and nephews Lucas, Evan, Ian and David whom he loved spending time with. He was predeceased by his father Albino Raposo (2011). Born September 19, 1962 in Winnipeg, MB, he attended St. Alphonsus Elementary, Munroe Junior High, and Miles Macdonnell High School, graduating in 1981. He attended the University of Alberta in Edmonton, while working full time at The Bay. He moved back to Winnipeg in 1995, continuing to work for The Bay while attending Red River College. He obtained a Diploma in Chemical and Biosciences Technology in 2004, making the Dean's Honor List. Diagnosed with lymphoma in April 2012, he fought valiantly over the past two years, with the assistance of staff from CancerCare, Concordia Hospital, Victoria Hospital, Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface Hospital, for which the family are very grateful. Victor was always gracious with his time, assisting family and friends, and taking care of his mother and father. He enjoyed his time at the cabin, reading and helping others. In lieu of flowers, donation to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation may be made in Victor's memory. Vigil prayers 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street North. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Parish.
