ANTAL (TONY) VISZKET Born in Hungary April 12, 1938 to Antal and Frances Viszket, Tony Viszket passed away on April 5, 2014 at the Grace Hospital. Tony leaves behind his loving wife Pearl, three brothers and their families: Joe and Wendy in Victoria, BC, Steve and Adolf in Hungary; and granddaughter Michaela. He was predeceased by his daughter Tamara, and his brother Charlie. Tony fled from the Communist takeover in Hungary in 1956 and arrived in Winnipeg in 1957 not knowing a word of English. He laid many miles of railway track for CN, then spent several years at Globelite Batteries and graduated with Honours from an electronics course at Red River College. He was employed as a television repairman for several companies including The Bay, Philco and Dial T.V. In later years he suffered deteriorating health after his retirement. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 11 at 1:30 p.m. at Salem Community Bible Church, 691 Alexander Avenue, Winnipeg. Interment at a later date. Wheeler Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
