BRUCE NORMAN JACOBSON It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Bruce Norman Jacobson at the age of 65. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Bev, of 24 years, his twin daughters, Tessa and Kayla, extended family and many friends. Bruce was happiest when spending time with his family, whether at the cottage or on a beach in Mexico. Bruce's greatest joys were his twin daughters whom he adored and spoiled daily. Bruce was also thrilled when Bev retired as they now could travel and enjoy more time together. They recently discovered Mexico as a winter get-away. They enjoyed long walks together on the beach, which usually ended with Bruce's favourite, a rum and coke. Bruce had many passions in life, he loved the lake and always had a project on the go. The cottage was Bruce and Bev's second home, they loved to spend the summer months working on projects and entertaining. Bruce also loved to cook, he truly was the master of perogie dough! Bruce had many quirks but the one that always put a smile on people's face was his obsession with cleaning, not just at home, but anywhere he went. Bruce had a happy and fulfilled life, and his positive impact will be remembered forever. At Bruce's request there will not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.

Growing up in Weston I started school with Bruce's youngest brother Doug, played on the same baseball team as brother George and worked as a policing partner with brother Nels. I also worked with Bruce at City Hall when I was an 18 year old straight out of high school. Bruce helped mentor me into the working world back then and he was a great support during this transition for me. It has been many years since I've last seen Bruce and I'm so very sorry to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences to all the family at this most difficult time. - Posted by: Grant Hardman (Friend) on: Apr 14, 2014
