He was predeceased by his parents Simone and Jules Collot; sister Claudette, and his first wife Jan. Lou was born in Manage, Belgium and was schooled by the Nuns. Oh how he could tell stories of when he was young. He came to Canada with his family when he was 18 and worked at various labour jobs while he learned English. Lou worked as a milk-man and then as a salesman for ID Foods. He was known as "The Distinguished Salesman". He loved his co-workers, clients and travelling "On the Road Again". We travelled to various parts of Canada and the USA but he especially loved Lake of the Woods. Lou also found great pleasure from his dogs Lady Suzie, little Lady Buffie 6, Princess Pebbles and Prince Nipper. We would like to thank Dr. Lee Cummings, Lanka, Steve, Caitlin and Clo of Meadowood Clinic, Meno of RANA Group, all the Palliative Care nurses Kris, Olga, Andy, Judy, Debra, etc. that were so kind and caring and made it possible for Lou's wish to pass away at home. Also a special thanks to Aurel, Diane, and family, and Bev, Heather, Bryan, Logan and Leah who made Lou's days happy and filled with love. In compliance with Lou's wishes, a private family gathering will be held at his Interment. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may choose to donate to a charity of choice. Wojcik's Winnipeg Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 2157 Portage Ave., 204-897-4665, is in care of arrangements. wojciksfuneralchapel.com We will cherish your fond memories forever until we meet again in Heaven. Lou would like to be remembered with a prayer. Angel of God, my guardian dear, To whom God's love commits me here. Ever this day be at my side To love and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.
