FREDERICK ALLEN TULLY July 3, 1949 - April 8, 2014 With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Fred Tully on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at home. Fred is survived by his wife of 37 years, Maureen; two sons, Garett (Elaine) and Elliott (Grace), and three beautiful grandchildren Sierra, Wyatt and Brooklyn. Fred is also survived by his dad, Fred, brother Russell (Marion) and their children, Brett (Ashley, Daniel), Debbie (Karl, Paige) and Jeff. Fred valued his relationship he had with his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pat and Keith Purdom, Bev and Walter Leckett and Gerry McKay. Fred was predeceased by his son Clayton, mom Betty, and mother-in-law Ollie Belton. Fred was born and raised in the Marquette area, spent some time in Winnipeg, Grandview, and Lethbridge but returned to Marquette to raise his own sons. He felt living in a rural area was the best place to raise a family and have friends. Fred loved the outdoors, from hunting and fishing to raising cattle. He spent many years managing fishing lodges in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Minor Bay Camps and Knee Lake. Fred was most proud of his sons and the men that they have become. He took great joy in having his grandchildren around him and showing them all the different kinds of birds that came to our yard. A private graveside service will be held at Woodlands Cemetery. A gathering will follow at Meadow Lea Hall at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 (junction of Hwy. 248 and Hwy. 227) - Everyone Welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ducks Unlimited Canada, Delta Waterfowl or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Fred loved to tell stories about fishing and hunting and mostly of family. He was so proud of his family. You could always see the light shine in his eyes whenever he talked about his boys. Fred and I enjoyed many days and nights travelling the US on the Fishing Show circuit, the last time we got together was a visit to help with our COR program. Happy trails Fred, it was a pleasure to know you. - Posted by: David (Friend) on: Apr 14, 2014

  • Fred worked with us to obtain and retain our COR status through the Construction Safety Association and we found him to be a very happy and enjoyable individual to be around. Fred was always smiling and often had stories to tell about his family whom he took much pride in. We wish you all well and hope you can find peace in his memories. - Posted by: J. HANSEN & SON LTD.
