Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • My sincerest condolences go out to Bridge's family. I was completely shocked to hear of his passing. I have known Bridge for over twenty five years. I first met Bridge at his salon on Jefferson. I remember it was so cold that day waiting for the bus in front of his salon he was kind enough to let me warm up until my bus came. I will never forget his love for Body Building and health. I always told him he had the most incredible Biceps and Triceps. If it wasn't for you and your guidance I probably would have never competed in body building. I won't forget the work outs you put me through at the North Y.M.C.A You had such great energy and determination. I always told Bridge he should be in Hollywood with his incredible techniques in hair design. He was especially proud of his long hair updoos and came out with a video which he sold on the internet. He was so proud that he was number one on the Google search for long hair design. Bridge told me his dream was to travel the world in a camper trailer. He traveled to many places and I'm so happy you were able to fulfill your dream of traveling. Bridge had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. I was always so impressed about your abilities in conversation you were like a walking encyclopedia. You always made me and everyone else around you feel important. Thank you for letting me be your Friend. R.I.P Until we meet again. God bless your heart and soul. - Posted by: Joe cohen (Friend) on: Jun 09, 2014

  • My condolences go out to Bridge's family. I was saddened when I could not get in touch with him and later learned on his Facebook page of his passing. I first met Bridge in 1983 at the age of 14. In 1989 I started seeing Bridge as my hair stylist on a monthly basis until the night before his trip to Philippines, in the fall of 2013. On that night we talked in the salon chairs up to 5 hours before his flight departures. We talked about everything and I promised Bridge I would watch his shop and clear the front steps of snow until we met again this past April. Over the past 25 years we talked about everything from his immigration from where he was born to England and then to Canada. We talked about his job as an electrician, his time at CPR and his decision to become a hair stylist. I learned about his family, all his travels through Europe and Asia. We discussed computers, photography and even long hair styles. These were part of his passions in life. We supported each other through each other’s health issues. We were able to sit in his shop for hours having open conversation about almost anything that came to mind, all without hesitation or worrying what the other would think. Bridge was a true friend and I will miss him dearly. Every time I pass the corner his shop is on, I will think of him, I will cherish the memories I have of him and remember the full hearted hand shakes we shared after each visit. Bridge you were the greatest stylist I ever had and no one will be able to surpass the level of skill that you achieved. Bridge rest in peace knowing you had a good soul and will be missed by many. вічно пам'ятати. Vichnaya Pamjat Terry S - Posted by: Terry S (Friend) on: Apr 24, 2014

  • I met Bridge back in 2006 and we became good friends. Bridge always had a positive attitude and he always strive for success. He had numerous goals that he want to achieve. He love camping and looking at expensive trailers and Motorhomes. His greatest passion was traveling and working on computers. From the day I met him to the end of his life he enjoyed life to the fullest. There were never a dull moment when Bridge was around. I would say it as it is. Bridge was more of a friend to me than some of the hypocrite friends I consider as friends today. As an older guy he always give me great advice and helped me in anyway he can. If I had a problem Bridge was always there to give me a friendly advice and a shoulder to lean on. I would consider him as one of my best friend. Bridge I will miss you brother and I thank God for crossing path with you. Rest in peace my brother until we meet again... - Posted by: Emanuel (Friend) on: Apr 13, 2014
