Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN ANNE STANIER (nee ECCLES) September 26, 1927 - April 8, 2014 Predeceased by parents Katherine and Charles, sister Ruth, and brothers Norm, Russ, Stan, and Ken. Left to cherish her memory are husband Dave, of 64 years; three children: Jeff (Barb), granddaughter Greer and grandson Harris of Ottawa; Dan (Leslie) and granddaughters Amber of Winnipeg and Sara of Regina; and Jennifer of Calgary. In addition to raising three children, Joan worked at Trans-Canada Airlines, the Manitoba Legislature, and the University of Manitoba. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Golden Door Geriatric Centre for the care provided during her time there. In honour of Joan's love of trees, one will be planted at Crescent Drive Park. A celebration of Joan's life is being planned. Please contact the family for details.
