ALLAN GLENSON MEALY Allan Glenson Mealy, aged 84, of Winnipeg Manitoba, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2014 at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. Al was born on October 6, 1929 in Fairfax, Manitoba. He was an avid sportsman and skilled carpenter, and was very artistic and creative. Dad made his career with HBM&S in Flin Flon, Manitoba, as their Employment Officer. He retired to Winnipeg. Dad was predeceased by his father Bill, his mother Aleta, his first wife Helene, and his second wife Audrey. He leaves behind his daughters: Aleta (Bob), Rena (Mark) and Michele, as well as his grandsons Scott and Kevin. He will also be mourned by his sister, brothers, and their spouses and families, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. As to Dad's wishes, his ashes will be interred in Flin Flon and a celebration of his life will take place at the family cottage in Denare Beach this summer. The family wishes to thank Dr. Seamus, Dani, and the entire staff on ward GB3 of the Health Sciences Centre for the wonderful and compassionate care that Dad received. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dad's memory, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 0K6.
