MARIE-JEANNE GUILLOU (née KERBRAT) April 29, 1930 - October 2, 2013 On October 2, 2013, our lives changed forever as our precious and beloved Marie-Jeanne went from our loving hands into God's trusted care. She will forever be cherished by her devoted husband of 62 years, Yves; daughters Betty (Stefan) and Lisa (Robert); grandchildren Michael, Jeffrey (Tanyze), Chris (Marney), Stacey, Jordan, Janèle and Marc; great-grandchildren: Jett, Nate, Luke, Emma, Sloane, Jamie and Joel. Elle laisse également dans le deuil ses soeurs, Anne-Marie, Clothilde, Angéline (Wolfgang), Hélène; ses frères Dominique O.M.I et Jean (Hélène). Son absence sera aussi ressentie par de nombreux neveux nièces, cousins(es) et amies. Elle fut précédée par ses parents Hervé et Marianne; ses beaux-parents François et Jeanne; ses soeurs Marie-Paule et Rosalie ainsi que son frère Yves. Mom was an excellent card player and enjoyed a variety of boardgames. She was blessed with many gifts. Her green thumb showcased spectacular vegetable gardens and her stellar baking talent was the envy of many. She truly enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Mom's musical interests covered a wide range of genres but her greatest passion was reading. Mom est née à Saint-Laurent MB et a mariée Dad en 1950. Ils ont vécu à Aubigny où ils ont continués à travailler la ferme familiale et ils ont pris soin de plusieurs neveux et nièces. Mom a commencé à travailler à Ideal Electric en 1968 et elle devint la gérante de l'usine d'Aubigny. En 1977 ils ont acheté leur chalet à Laurentia Beach et ils allaient chaque fin-de-semaine du mois d'avril au mois d'octobre. En 1982 Mom a prit sa retraite et ils se sont déplacés de façon permanente au chalet. C'était en 1996 qu'ils ont décidé de venir à Winnipeg. Pendant ce temps, Mom n'a jamais cessée de participer à ses activités et à ses passe-temps. Mom always had a deep trust in God and was very proud of her faith. Sunday mass was very important and prayer was a daily practice. This brought her much comfort and peace especially in her last few months with us. She faced her passing with the same strength and courage that was so evident throughout her life. A celebration of Mom's life will take place at Saint-Laurent Catholic Church in Saint-Laurent, MB on May 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local church or to a charity of your choice in memory of her.
