ANN WOROBY It is with profound sorrow that our family must say that our beloved Mother and Baba Ann Woroby has ended her life's journey here with us April 27, 2014 and has now passed into the arms of her Saviour Jesus Christ for Eternity. Mom was born in the Village of Kalush Western Ukraine and emigrated to Canada after the Great Patriotic War in 1946. She worked on a farm in rural Saskatchewan near Yorkton for a time before boarding a train and making Winnipeg her home for many years. She arrived here without knowing the English language, but heard that a vibrant Ukrainian Community existed in the city. She became active in the Ukrainian community, and sang in the Prosvita choir. She raised five children, Andrew, Ronald, Rosemary, Jennifer and Patricia, and absolutely loved spending time with her 11 grandchildren. Mom was a devout Christian who believed that everything and anything is possible through belief and faith in Jesus Christ. Mom spent several years residing in Oshawa, Ontario and Halifax, Nova Scotia, wanting to be nearer her grandchildren. Mom made her final trip by returning to Winnipeg. She resided at the Holy Family Nursing Home since 2010, where the nursing staff, health care aides and other staff were absolutely wonderful in their care looking after her needs. We, as a family will be forever grateful to all the staff but, especially Anna Marie Bonneteau, who was Mom's primary caregiver. God bless you all! We, as a family will deeply miss our Mom, but she has left us with so many happy memories that we will cherish, till we meet our Mom once again in Heaven. We love you Mom. Funeral service, Wednesday, April 30 at 10:15 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel.
