SHEILA MCDONALD With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Sheila on April 27, 2014. After a courageous battle with cancer, she is now at peace. Sheila was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jim, and is survived by her son, Rod (Charlotte), daughter Heather Contant, sisters Dianne (Paul), Claudia (Glen), Donna (Herb), and sister-in-law Gail (Henry). She will be remembered with affection by her grandchildren Lindsay and Rory McDonald and Tyler and Darcy Contant, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Sheila was a graduate nurse from the Winnipeg General Hospital and enjoyed a rewarding career. After Jim's passing in 1991, Sheila moved to Vancouver where she became an active member of the church and golf community. She will be remembered for her kindness and infectious sense of humour. The family wishes to express appreciation for the compassionate care provided by the nurses of Vancouver Coastal Health and by Dr. Lawlor. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside Ave., Winnipeg Saturday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m.

George and I were saddened to hear of Sheila's passing. Sheila has been a good friend for many years. We shared many tears, laughs and hugs while student nurses in residence at the old WGH. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Our sincerest condolences to Heather, Rodney and their families as well as sisters Claudia, Dianne, Donna and families. Our thoughts are with you all through this trying time. Beverley and George Glenday Nanaimo B.C. - Posted by: Beverley and George Glenday (WGH Classmate and family friends) on: May 03, 2014
