Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWIN ALLAN LOVELACE August 21, 1925 - April 30, 2014 Al was born to Stanley Edwin Lovelace and Rose Ann (Manson) Lovelace on August 21, 1925. He grew up and was educated in Winnipeg, earning a B.A. and C.A. His career as a Chartered Accountant took him to Calgary and Toronto, where he worked for Touche & Co., Gairdner & Co. and for the federal government. Upon his retirement, he moved to Victoria for a time, but he always missed Toronto, where he felt most at home. He ultimately moved back to Winnipeg, and most recently was a resident of The Waverley. A very intelligent and quick-witted man, Al was a skilled bridge player and a voracious and eclectic reader. He could always be found surrounded by the many books he had on the go at any given time. Al's health failed rapidly over the last few months, and he died on April 30 at Victoria Hospital. He will be fondly remembered by his sister, Ruth Wishart, his nephew Ross Wishart and wife Elaine and his niece Linda Dooley. The family is grateful to the staff and residents of The Waverley for their friendship and support for Al and to the staff at Victoria Hospital for their care in his final days. In accordance with Al's wishes, there will be no service.
