MARY YVONNE THOMPSON (nee HAYWARD) Peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, Mary passed away at the Poseidon Care Centre with her family by her side. She leaves behind her loving family Judy and Len, Wes and Linda, Rhonda and Cliff, Cheryl, Brad and Sue, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sister Margaret, sister-in-law Joan, as well as many nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was predeceased by our Dad (Ingvald) in 2005, great-grandson Orion, and 10 of her siblings. Mom was born a twin with brother Walter on December 17, 1926 in Hartney to Eliza and Hubert Hayward. Mom was the youngest of 12 children. Mom met and married her husband Ingvald on November 15, 1947 and together they raised five children. She was smart and well read which showed when she became a manager at MTS for many years. Mom loved all sports, she was a dedicated Blue Bomber ticket holder up until last season. She loved to bowl when she could. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and baking. She loved the challenge of a puzzle and listening to Danny O'Donnell music. Mom loved her family dearly always loving and caring to all of us. The family would like to thank all who cared for her so well in the past three months. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East at Navin Road, with a reception to follow.
