ELEANOR (HALLDORSON) NARICK May 21, 1938 - May 5, 2014 It is with profound sadness that we announce her passing at Health Sciences Centre after a decade of serious illnesses. Predeceased by her parents Halldor and Gwen and brothers Roy and John, she leaves to cherish her memory and love, husband of 49 years Ros, daughters Nancy (Andrew), Narda (Don), Joanne (Kinoy), grandchildren Benjamin, Kate, Zarah, Maia, Ava and Jalen, nephews, nieces, in-laws and a legion of friends. Born in Winnipeg and schooled in Norwood, Eleanor worked at Eaton's, Canadian Wheat Board and the City of Winnipeg's Centennial Pool. A memorial service in her honour will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor St. with Pastor Kurtz officiating. The family wishes to thank the Health Sciences Centre medical staff and specialists who have professionally and compassionately cared for her over the past 10 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba or the First Lutheran Church.
