I am very saddened to hear of Dr. O's passing. He was a gentle tireless man. He was my Dr. for many years and yes, he delivered both of my children. He made it there both times. It was not unusual to call for a same day appointment and be told as long as you are in the door at 6:00 PM you can be the last patient. Many times he turned the light out after me. He was very dedicated and never made you feel rushed. His wonderful wife Lois supported this his entire career. His daughters fell into his footsteps and he was so proud of them. He will not be forgotten. - Posted by: Giselle Merke ( Lagasse ) (Former Patient ) on: Jun 05, 2014

The Domke family has played a significant role in my family's life for close to 50 years. Doctor Oscar took care of us over the years in so many ways. He was the one to do the pre-wedding " conversation " with delicate care & graciosness. He welcomed many of our children & a grandchild into this world. He was & is a friend. It was with sadness that I learned of his passing. To his dear Lois & the rest of the family - our family's sincere condolenses. The Simmonds Family - Posted by: E. Simmonds () on: May 14, 2014

Dr. Domke became my doctor when I arrived in Winnipeg to attend UofM - he was our family doctor until we left Manitoba. He delivered both our children and made numerous house calls over the years. I particularly remember the time we went to see him to have a blood test (necessary to get married at the time). Oscar took my blood and then with a twinkle in his eye handed me a syringe to take Ron's. I was a lab tech and I had previously told him I would like to do this. He epitomized the essence of a family physician. Our condolences to the family at this most difficult time. - Posted by: Claudia & Ron Gratton (Patient & friend) on: May 12, 2014

It is with great sadness we hear of Dr. Oscar's passing. Our Family has been with Dr. Oscar since 1970 and have had the pleasure of knowing his wonderful wife Lois and enjoying times out at the Irish Club for dinner theatres. Some of our children and grandchildren were delivered by Dr. O and the younger grandchildren by his wonderful daughter Dr. Heather. We send our prayers and blessings to Mrs. Domke, Dr. Heather, Dr. Sheila and the whole Domke Family. God Bless you Dr. Oscar, you were a true Gentleman. - Posted by: John & Margaret Swann & Family (Patients / Friends ) on: May 12, 2014

My condolences to Lois and the rest of the Domke family on Oscar's passing. He will be truly missed as he was an extremely caring and joyful man. He was more than just my doctor for 30+ years and the man who delivered me at birth. Oscar was family and much loved by us all. I will forever be grateful for the dance he honoured me with at my wedding in 2008 as my "honourary grandfather". At this time of loss I would like to offer my condolences to your entire family. Over the many years as a patient in the Domke offices I only saw Dr. O a few times, but those times made an impact on me. His caring and wisdom was evident. As I read this tribute to Dr. O's life I realized that his dedication to his calling, his family, his patients and his passion for his faith will indeed live on in his daughters who carry on the practice that he a was part of. My heart goes out to all of you and I am praying for you. May the Lord strengthen you and fill you with His compassion now and in the days to come. - Posted by: Frances Jacob () on: May 10, 2014
