SAMMY YU It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our father Sammy Cheuk Kwan Yu at Concordia Hospital, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the age of 65. Sammy will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Nancy, daughters Jennifer (Brad) and Vanessa, sons Samson and Teddy, and grandchildren, Naomi and Ben. He also leaves behind his mother Wai Loong Chan, brothers Carter (Vinnie), Kenjo (Sannex), Rory (Rachel), sisters Man Yuk (Stanley), Amy, Connie, Kitty (Eric), Jackie (Teddy), and many nieces and nephews. Our father was known to be a very hardworking man with a good work ethic to many of his co-workers. He was a family man who enjoyed having family dinners and family trips. His grandchildren, Naomi and Ben were the light of his life. The children will miss their "Gung Gung". To many of his friends he was known to have a kind heart and soul. He was known to help out friends in need. He will be missed by them. We would like to say thank you to all the CancerCare staff and medical ward at Concordia Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre for all their support and positive spirit. A viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street.
