DAVID JOHN MILLER January 24, 1937 - May 14, 2014 How do you explain the life of one man in such a small space? Dave was raised in Weston and proud of it. He was a big strong man in stature. He tried very hard to not show his vulnerable side. However, those of us who loved him knew differently. Dave had excellent work ethics. Hard physical work never bothered him. He worked at Allmar International for 37 years. He proudly held the title of best Fork Lift Operator by the truckers he loaded and unloaded. Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, Dave left the company in 2009. Change did not come easy for him after that. I would personally like to thank Dave's special friend Joe Bortoluzzi who worked with Dave at Allmar for many years. Your phone calls and visits meant a great deal to Dave. Dave was a Born Again Christian. His faith and trust in God never wavered. Every night he would read his bible and spend time in prayer without fail. Even when he was ill. At the time of his passing, if God gave Dave a choice to come back or go with him, Dave would go with God without hesitation. Left to mourn his passing is his best friend and wife of 29 years Lynn. His children Glen, Terry, Sherry and Gary. His stepchildren Ron and Dennis Ross. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother Ken and sister Arlene Saunders. As well as many nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his parents John and Myrtle Miller, sister Eleanor Fouts, son David, brother-in-law Ken Saunders and niece Karen Poole. A memorial service will be held at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Special family friend Pastor H.H. Barber officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith to Live By, Box 426, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2H6. Should you go first and I'll remain, there's one thing I'll have you do: walk slowly down that long long path, for soon I'll follow you. I want to know each step you take, so I may take the same. For someday down that lovely road, you'll hear me call your name. I will love you always and forever David. DAVID JOHN MILLER January 24, 1937 - May 14, 2014 Dave passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the age of 77 years. Dave leaves to mourn his wife, Lynn.
