Mr. Minish was THE best principal and a person who has led the way in how I teach, parent and manage. On our school trip to Hong Kong he taught me how to be independant when I had never made a decision on my own before. He quietly observed and gently guided me back on track when I was low in grade 10. He lent me money when I overspent on our trip to Europe. And he strongly reprimanded me (and not always with words and never raising his voice) when I was out of control. I learned so much about life from him and will forever be grateful. My condolences to his wife and children. May we celebrate his time here with us and follow in his wonderful example to live life to the fullest. - Posted by: Tobi Leveille nee Rosenbloom (Student) on: May 24, 2014

Arnold took a chance on me when I was ready to move from a rural to an urban teaching position. Arnold had an enormous amount of energy and always was willing to support the underdog. He was a larger than life figure who will be missed. - Posted by: Karen Guenther (Former colleague) on: May 21, 2014

My former teacher, my first superintendent when I started teaching, the father of children I once babysat, and a very close friend of my father. These are memories that come instantly to mind. My condolences are with you, June, and all the children. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Arnold and I grew up in the same community. We attended the one room school in Big Woody and also high school in Swan River. I have great memories of our young years together. Arnold was so smart, he was amazing, and he had a wonderful career. My deepest sympathy to the family. - Posted by: Monica Gamble (Friend) on: May 19, 2014

My condolences to family and friends - how I remember Mr. Minish when he came to Russell to teach math. Many an hour he spent trying to pound the basics into our heads. Fondly remembered. - Posted by: Reta Andrews (Former student) on: May 17, 2014
