Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE MARY HOROBEC October 22, 1926 - May 10, 2014 On May 10, 2014, Anne died peacefully at her home at the age of 87. She is survived by her three sisters, Emily, Helen and Jennie. She also survived by her in-laws, Peter (Helen), Marie (Koz), John, Stella, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Bill Horobec, mother and father Steve and Polly, sisters Suzie and Nellie, brothers Joe, Mike, Bill, John, Louie, and Martin. She also leaves to cherish her memories Lisa Mankansigo and her children Joshua and Taylor. Anne was born in Rama, Saskatchewan and at age of 21 moved to Winnipeg to look for employment. She worked in several factories until she settled at Reed Paper and later Woods Dryden as a Paper Bag Handler, where she worked until she retired. Anne enjoyed dancing and playing Bingo. Every Friday was the Legion dance, this is the place that Anne found the love of her life, Bill Horobec. They were married on June 15, 1968 and spent 26 wonderful years together. They travelled to different parts of Canada as well as to Alaska. Funeral Services will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Tuesday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Cropo Funeral Chapel 204-586-8044

I met Anne at Sir Sam Steel Legion many years ago. I moved to BC in 2004 and Anne would keep me up to date on all the goings on with our friends at the Legion.
