Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN C. JONES (nee SMITH) It is with deep regret that we announce the death of our Mom and Nana. Mom passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the age of 83 while vacationing with her daughter. Mom was born and raised in Nova Scotia, moving with her children to Manitoba in 1973. She leaves three daughters; two sons; their spouses; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren (all in Manitoba and Alberta). She also leaves behind two sisters and two brothers; their spouses and families all living in Nova Scotia. A private Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mom's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Mom was living life to the fullest, on a 33 day cruise to Hawaii and the South Pacific when she became ill. Mom died peacefully in her sleep, in hospital in Tahiti (South Pacific)on May 3rd. Mom will be remembered for her courage, generosity and gentleness of spirit. In addition to her dedication in raising five children on her own, Clara Jean's strength and courage shone brightest when she saved the lives of her five children.
