DANIEL ALEXANDER CAMPBELL MCPHERSON Daniel Alexander Campbell McPherson of Carberry, MB, passed away April 21, 2014 at the Carberry Hospital at the age of 65 years. Born June 13, 1948 in Wawota, SK, Dan lived in Brandon where he played hockey for the Brandon Wheat Kings and Brandon University Bobcats, then pro hockey in the United States. Dan enjoyed many jobs throughout his life and served on many boards and volunteer organizations, retiring from Brandon Area Planning in 2013. Predeceased by his father and mother, Alex and Donelda McPherson, and brother Bill, he will be missed by his wife of 43 years, Peggy, his daughters Raegan (Les) Taylor, Morag (Sarah Olivier) and Nova (Tim) Cassan and grandchildren Callyn and Dantyn Taylor and Esme Cassan. He is survived by his sisters, Donna (Don) Leech, Harlene (Ken Dyck), Gerry (Gary) Walker and brother David (Pat Clubb). A "Come and Go Celebration" of Danny's life was held April 25 at the Carberry Legion with White's Funeral Home of Carberry in charge of arrangements. Donations in memory of Dan may be made to the Carberry and Area Foundation, Box 807, Carberry, MB R0K 0H0 or a charity of choice.
