Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTREVOR RICHARD LAWSON May 31, 1948 - May 19, 2014 It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Trevor at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 65 years. He was predeceased by his mother, Peggy and his father David both of Winnipeg. Trevor will be lovingly missed by his sister Lesley; brothers David and Rob; nieces Shantelle and Michaela. He will be forever loved and remembered by his stepmother Beryl stepsister Vickie Cameron; stepnephew Zachary Dupuis and stepniece Marlena Dupuis. Trevor was born in Lincolnshire, England in 1948 and he and the family moved to Canada in 1958. He enjoyed playing hockey in his younger years and had a passion for music, playing the trumpet for many years with the Fire Man's Band. He worked at Manitoba Hydro for 37 years as an electrical engineering aid. He loved to travel to Europe, visiting his home country often to share a pint in the local pubs with family and friends. In Winnipeg he joined the Tiger Claw School to study Tai Chai, he was involved with this for many years and achieved the level of Black Belt. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion shown to Trevor during his stay. A formal funeral service will not be held, but rather a private family celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
