ANNIE WICHARENKO (nee RUTA) Peacefully in her sleep in the early hours on May 24, 2014, Annie passed away at the Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oakbank at the age of 98. Annie will be deeply missed by her husband of 77 years, Norman; children Daniel (Angel), Gladys (Les), Philip (Debbie); grandchildren, Alan (Gilly), Sharon (Darren), Kevin, Darren, Jason (Tara), Lisa, Jeremy (Gina), Kerri, and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Julia Ruta, infant brother Stephen, sister Polly, brother Walter, and her daughter Patricia. At her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday May 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Seasons Funeral Chapel, 576 Balsam Cres., Oakbank, with Pastor Neufeld officiating. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery in Cooks Creek, MB. Lunch will be held at the Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church. Many thanks for the special love and care to the staff at Kin Place Personal Care Home. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Annie's memory to Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oakbank.
