Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA KUPNISKI (nee SMORHAN) (FEDORUK) December 6, 1917 - May 26, 2014 It is with deepest sadness, but with loving memories we announce the passing of our darling Mother and Baba. She will be reunited with her mother Josephine, father Peter, brother Peter, sister Mary, her second husband Peter Kupniski, sons-in-law Ross and Tom and her darling 6 and a half year old son Johnny. Left to mourn her memory are her two daughters Patricia MacPhail and Judi Bourgouin (Brian), granddaughter Crystal (Allan), Ross's children - Shelley, Brin and Flanna and her greatest joy her six great-grandchildren Addie, Avery, Sam, Charlie, Max and Fergus and her first husband William Fedoruk. Mom's life revolved around her family and she was Mom to all our friends. Her caring nature and generous spirit extended in every direction. She had many lifelong friends who cherished her and kept in touch regularly. Through the years, she befriended virtually everyone with whom she came in contact. She truly had a magnetic personality. Stella was a gifted artist and will live on in her beautiful paintings. Baba loved making perogies for her beloved granddaughter Crystal who was the apple of her eye. Stella's smile was a trademark and lit up whatever space she was in. Above all, she had a great capacity to love. Mom possessed a quiet inner strength through all her hardships. She never complained. Her sweetness, kindness, loyalty, graciousness and integrity were qualities that everyone admired. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to contribute to a charity of their choice. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration Service will be held Saturday, June 7, at 2:00 p.m. at Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home, 577 St. Anne's Rd. I've known Stella for over 60 years. We both had sons of the same age who played together. I have kept in touch with Stella over the years but it has been more difficult as the years have passed. I met your mother/Baba once when I was at Meadowood visiting my mother with my sister Brenda Frazao who was a friend of Stella. She really did have a magnetic personality. In spite of the fact it was years ago that I met her, when Brenda sent me the news of her passing I knew exactly who she was.
