ROSE MOORE (nee KASUPSKI) Peacefully at her residence Rose Moore of Gimli, Manitoba passed away on May 28, 2014 at the age of 76. She will be sadly missed by her son Lorne (Vicki) and daughter Tracy (Al), grandchildren Jasyn (Janeen), Lindsay (Jeff) and Adam and great-grandchildren Tanner, Hudson, Olexander and Isaac and her sister Helen, nieces Shirley (John) and Linda (Albert) and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Adam and Mary, brother-in-law Art, nephew Dennis and great-granddaughter Ainsley. Rose was employed with the Regional Health Authority for 25 years and retired at the age of 65. In her spare time Rose also owned and operated Rose's Petro Canada station from 1981 to 2003. Rose continued many close friendships with co-workers and customers during retirement. Some of mom's favourite pastimes included Winnipeg shopping trips, going out for lunch with friends and surfing the net for new muffin recipes. She never forgot a birthday and usually supplied the cake. Rose had a great sense of humour and did not hesitate to play a practical joke on many unsuspecting victims. Mom's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. They kept her young and very busy going to the movies and having sleepovers. She never tired of telling stories and answering their endless questions. As per Mom's wishes a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 26331, STN BRM B, Toronto, ON, M7Y 4R1. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • I met Rose shortly after moving to Gimli in 1981 - my Dad had known her even before that, and we were casual friends for many years. A few years ago we became close friends, and she was a great source of comfort and support for me, and I hope I was the same in return for her. She will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Rose. - Posted by: Darlene Vokey (friend) on: Jun 06, 2014

  • When I first met Rose as a young person I learned that she truly enjoyed life. As one who constantly helped and encouraged her family and members of the Gimli community to reach and attain what they wanted to achieve, she will be remembered. Love, caring and humor are but three traits for which she will be remembered. Rest in Peace..Gimli Rose. - Posted by: Lawrence & Sharon Diachun (cousin) on: Jun 02, 2014
