BARRY DAVID BROADFOOT
Born: Mar 31, 1941
Date of Passing: May 31, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARRY DAVID BROADFOOT March 31, 1941 - May 31, 2014 Peacefully at Victoria Hospital with his family by his side. Papa's main source of joy came from his grandchildren. Attending hockey and ringette games, swimming lessons, concerts etc. kept him happy and busy over many years. Family and friends were his main focus and he devoted many hours to helping others, whether it be driving to appointments, pulling daycare duty or just spending quality time with those he loved. Dad still always found time for a round of golf, waiting patiently for springtime. He was elated that he had played two games already this spring. Dad also enjoyed spending time with Skip and Joy at their cottage. The perfect day consisted of a couple hours on the riding mower, putting his handyman and gardening skills to use and then happy hour with the neighbours. He leaves behind his daughters, Julie (Wayne), Linda (Trevor), their families and numerous other grandchildren. His sister, Betty, his brother Ken (Wendy) and many lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his parents Mollie and Bob as well as his brother, Ron. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barry's name to the Canadian Lung Association in support of his sister, Betty. Cremation has taken place. A small gathering will take place on Saturday, June 7 from 2:00 to 4:00, 162 Tanya Crescent.
