Condolences & Memories (17 entries)

  • Well it's been 5 long months. Karen I miss you so much...I think about you all the time especially when I go to bed at night and look at the photos of you and I from over the years that I keep on my night table. I keep thinking this is just a bad dream and I need to wake up and be able to call you. At least when you were here we could talk whenever we wanted but now...now I want to talk to you and I can't. Karen, please know that I love you and miss you so much, my heart is still hurting and I just need you to know how much you meant to me. Living in BC and dreaming of moving back home to Winnipeg so we could be together again and now I feel like without you being there...would be too strange...please come visit me in my dreams so we can carry on with our lifelong friendship...I'm so sad and still can't stand the pain...just saying...I MISS THE WHOLE FAMILY AND KELLY RAINE TOO... • Connery Ave. is where our story of friendship began. Karen and Sandy walked across the street to welcome Cindy and Robbie to the neighborhood. Our family and the Olek family were very close and my friendship with Karen was one that had many laughs and good times. There were a few times we got into a little trouble but that was the city girl showing the country girl the way things should be done! I am sure that your Dad and my Mom and Dad greeted you with open arms. Your friend forever, Cindy - Posted by: Cindy Cheyne (Friend) on: Jun 04, 2014

  • Karen and family, we have known each other for 53 years so we have unending memories. You were my extended family and I love you all. I don't know who I'll turn to now to remind me of all the things I forget but Karen remembered. Karen had a sharp memory. When we were about 10 years old we started dreaming about the beautiful home we were going to have together and we would go to Eaton's furniture floor and view all the predesigned suites and pick out all the furniture we wanted for each room of our house. Our other dream was to move to British Columbia together when we turned 18 and it was a good dream while it lasted! We had many laughs about taking the bus and speaking to each other with a British accent and pretending to know other languages that we didn't know but it sounded funny and we had fun doing it. We loved to go to the Bay for a Malt and Woolworths for French fries. I could write a book about our lives together so with that being said, I will miss Karen with all my heart but I will be forever thankful for the memories we shared. Karen you were my best friend and I love you and you will not be forgotten. Your spirit will live with me till we meet again - Love always, Nancy Ezako XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOOXOXOXXOX... - Posted by: Nancy Ezako (Best Friend) on: Jun 04, 2014
